Doris brought some Halloween decorations from the Tiger Copenhagen store on Omonia Square and we boosted the collection with a jolly skeleton add his dog camanion, candy and lights. We led a lesson on Halloween's origins with the Celts and current practices in the US and Ireland while Sedeghe translated. The youngsters loved carving a real pumpkin and loosened up with some of the costumes. Halloween is not a commonly celebrated occasion in Greece and it was new for nearly all the young people. We were concerned about bringing in a toy skeleton, but asked and got the go ahead. The afternoon was a hit.
