Food and dignity...

November 2024...Velos is a center for hope, and survival. The young people continue to endure hardship as they work with the Velos team to acquire education, support systems including leads on housing and jobs, and the most important goal- asylum. Your donations helped us bring in fresh fruit to supplement the food provided to Velos by Saffron kitchen project. Fresh fruit and vegetables must be available within walking distance for Athenians, but is rare for a refugee to have the money to spend on such food.

All these faces, except Timo, have been altered. Using the wifi at Velos helps young people look for jobs and stay connected to family. Many of these young people send money home to displaced and hungry family.
